Come Take A Class With Me!

I Just Started as a guest instructor at Ruby's Clay Studio in San Francisco. This prominent little gem of a studio has been operating in the heart of the Castro since 1962. This is an animal sculpting class that focuses on small scale low fire sculptures. So glad to be invited to be a part of the Ruby's community.

I've Also been teaching a throwing class at the Palo Alto Art Center for the past couple of months. This has been a great opportunity to go outside of my normal area of focus and get to re visit my old friend pottery. I've done workshops at PAAC in the past and have always been meet with enthusiasm by this unique community. Next session it will transition in to a Representational Sculpture class. The new session begins April 14th and enrollment is now open! I'm also right in the middle of a 2 weekend Animal Head Sculpting workshop at PAAC. It's been going great and looks like we should be doing another one this summer!

After being hired as a ceramics substitute for Rocky Lewycky at De Anza College they’ve now give me a drawing class! Rocky is a super interesting artist with great technical skill who transcends his medium by adding elements of time, light, space and community interaction to his work. He recently had a baby and wanted to have some back up so he brought me on. Drawing has always been an important part of my process and truly is the genesis of my artistic style. I’m so excited to get a chance to re examine and explore this fundamental mode of expression with the very sharp and capable students at De Anza College.
